After The Credits - 10 Cloverfield Lane

Not related to the original Cloverfield in any way, but it's one effective thriller.

After The Credits: Chronic

Saw this one at the Miami Film Festival in, of course, Miami. Chronic is about a Hospice Nurse who cares for his patients so much, that he cares for them like their were his own family. I didn't know what to expect from Tim Roth's portrayal as that nurse, but it was very surprising. The film is deceptive in that character's arc. Really good film.

After The Credits: London Has Fallen

I didn't enjoy London Has Fallen like its predecessor, but it is still a time to be had. Just like the first film, it's a fairly insane adventure. Some of the CGI is an issue with unfinished explosions, planes that don't look entirely polished, but don't go into it expecting a Picasso. It doesn't have to be.

TFW Wanderer Confessions 3: R-Rated Comic Book Bonanza

Back with another episode of The Film Wanderer's Wanderer Confessions, where the topic of whether Hollywood needs to make comic book films R-rated. Also, I reviewed Race & Triple 9 before delving into the main topic at hand.

*P.S: Sorry for the loud PC motor in the background.

Wanderer Update, February 16, 2016

In the event that I haven't posted a new Wanderer Confessions episode or post a film review, I'll post these during times when I'm planning future things at The Film Wanderer. Currently, I've planned out new episodes for Wanderer Confessions & that Director's invitational piece that I'm doing on Zack Snyder and where that's going. Hopefully, I'll have some new episodes coming out this week.

After The Credits: Deadpool

If this is an indicator of how Comic Book Movies will be for 2016, then it's going to be a banner year (And Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice hasn't come out yet). Deadpool is really a mea culpa by Ryan Reynolds, Tim Miller (director) & Fox to make up for the way they messed it up the first time with X-Men Origins. It's an hour and 48 minutes of fun, laughs, action, etc. I already want to see it again.

After The Credits: Pride & Prejudice & Zombies

It wasn't even half-bad, just that, it could've taken more chances with its content. The fact that it's a PG-13 film, rather than an R-rated film, was a bit of a dealbreaker. It's worthy of a matinee, for what it's worth.

Wanderer Confessions, Episode 2: Opportunity

This latest episode of Wanderer Confessions, is in the theme of Opportunity framed in the recent nominations for the 88th Academy Awards. I ranted a lot in this edition, even more so than the last episode of Confessions, so there were moments where I did center it around in a historical sense. It was intentional for the purpose of my monologue.

After The Credits: Dirty Grandpa

Other than a couple of lines from Robert De Niro & Aubrey Plaza's presence, there was hardly anything redeeming from this film. Even Zac Efron is meaningless here. It's not worst of the year material, but there's not a good film here by any means, unfortunately.

Wanderer Confessions Episode 1: Identity

This is a first of many episodes called Wanderer Confessions, where I'll pick a theme and center it around an issue in movie industry. This first episode is on Identity & how people who are either film critic or just viewers shouldn't let others dictate how you should feel about movies & the way movies are covered from a biased perspective. Plus, I talk about Day 3 of Magic City Comic Con before the main topic at hand.

Magic City Comic Con Day 1 & 2 Recaps

Never thought I'd say this but, I've enjoyed this more than I did Supercon back of June 2015. It's a more relaxing experience overall.

After The Credits: The Big Short

If you watched or read anything on the 2007-08 financial crisis, you'll enjoy The Big Short. Probably best to come with a pen or pencil, if you need to know what a CDO does.

After The Credits: The Hateful Eight

It may not seem like I didn't enjoy The Hateful Eight in my review, but I thought it was fine. It drags in moments when it needs a jolt of fun, but for what it was, it was a fine film. It was a few barrels short of great, however.

After The Credits: SW-The Force Awakens

Without being knowledgeable with Star Wars, I wasn't going to let that deter me from being afraid of it. It's one of my favorites from 2015.
