This review is a little late, since, I meant to do it on the same day that I watched it, though, things happen when you lose track of time. Love is Strange isn't even strange, so to speak, but, it doesn't mean that it's a solid, well-paced drama-comedy on the issue of gay marriage. Alfred Molina & John Lithgow play a couple who's been with one another for 39 years, and, then, suddenly, living issues cause the two of them to separate from one another because their not able to afford the lease together due to their financial situations. The cast is solid, Ira Sachs does a good job shooting much of the scenes. It runs at under 95 minutes and it flows by fairly fast too without any more needed exposition.
**** out of 5
Good: Great cast, solid direction
Bad: Really nothing that's significant
